The first German Evolution Meeting (GEM), successor of the Münster Evolution Meetings (MEM), aims to provide a forum for all Evolutionary Biologists working across different fields and career stages. In addition to providing an opportunity to share and learn about excellent research in evolutionary biology, GEM aims to bring together Evolutionary Biologists working in Germany and neighbouring countries in a smaller setting to enable intensive networking and discussion. Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz has a strong focus on evolutionary biology, and Mainz is a welcoming and vibrant university town, making it an ideal venue. The meeting will be held in English.
